Thanks Ratna. I have one with a WiFi USB dongle. What are the chances it might "just work" - or is the support hardcoded for the built in WiFi?

andrewmc This totally depends on the model of the WiFi dongle and its support by the drivers.

If your WiFi dongle works out of the box with a Raspberry, there's quite a good chance it'll work with the MoodleBox image.

Has there been any further info developed about using a WIFI dongle with a Raspberry Pi 2 and MoodleBox? I can buy those, where as I can't seem to find any Pi 4s.

There's no problem using an external dongle Wi-Fi, and it works (when correctly installed). I've investigated the idea of supporting Wi-Fi external dongles (also for RPi 3B and 4B).

The problem is the lack of built-in firmware for such dongles. There's no easy solution for installing the adequate needed firmware for all existing dongles, and unfortunately I don't have the time/ressources to do it.

Thanks, Nicolas. I'm just trying to figure out a way to get past the lack of Pi 4 Bs. I don't have the time to learn how, either.
