Hi, I am trying to test how MoodleBox could help underrepresented population in medical education, due to language barriers we would like to download many languages as possible and build education which could translate to their own language. How can I do this. much appreciated. I am using a Raspberry Pi 4B, with MoodleBox. Thank you

I assume your question is about installing multiple languages for the Moodle GUI; this is easily done by following the Moodle documentation.
Of course, the MoodleBox must be connected to the Internet in order to download the languages packs.

Thank you very much.
Nelumdini Also you get excellent community support in the moodle.org Languages forum, which I can only recommend. ;-)

Nelumdini Please take in mind that you will get only the translated Moodle strings with an additional language pack and no translated course contents.
To translate the course contents into different languages you may duplicate a course and translate the new one to a new language. Yes, you also can use the multi language filter in Moodle to get the contents into only one course but the usage of the filter is more difficult.

Thanks.
Managed to fix the login in to Moodlebox with the language translation. But, I need to find away to change the course contents written and build in English to other languages as and when needed any advise and help will be appreciated.

Nelumdini If you did a Language customisation a) they effect only your Moodle installation b) they replace the original (English) strings. Moodle has much more sophisticated multi-language capabilities. The keyword is Laguage packs.
It is very important to know that MoodleBox hasn't changed a singe line of code in the original Moodle from Moodle downloads. So MoodleBox has all the language features of Moodle - and it makes much sense to get these information from moodle.org, specifically from its Languages forum. In fact, all the information you need is in the Moodle documentation. The initial pages are linked to the header of that forum.
Your work, reaching an underrepresented population, sounds exactly the type of application MoodleBox is made for. Keep up the good work!
Ratna, Thank you very much. Yes MoodleBox was a big breakthrough. Thank you all for doing this, and the support given.
Nelumdini But, I need to find away to change the course contents written and build in English to other languages as and when needed any advise and help will be appreciated.
Hi, the course content can't be translated by Moodle automatically. The course teachers must do this. Or you must do this in you are preparing the Moodle lessons for other teachers. Yes, it's a hard work.
