  • Cannot connect from a specific Mac computer!

Hi Everyone!

This one has me stratching my head.
I have installed Moodlebox 3.7 on my Raspberry PI 3B+.
I had the WIFI problem. I set the country code and also ran the sudo rfkill unblock wlan. Got internet Access.
I can access via SSH. I can also access via terminal. Can ping out.

I can load the http://moodlebox.home through an Iphone, and also through another Macbook air. No problem.
I get DNS errors specifically in my personal laptop, which is also macbook air.

From the computer that does not connect, I get no ping to moodlebox.home. I get a ping from 10.0.0.1. It does not connect when I try to use http://10.0.0.1. I tried flushing the DNS.

Can anyone share some light here, please? Moodlebox seems to be working correctly, but somehow, one of the computers cannot see the Box.

Thanks for the help!
Fabio.

rsff Are the working devices connected through MoodleBox's wi-fi and the not working computer is connected to the wired (Ethernet) LAN?

    @Ratna Thanks for responding!

The Moodlebox is conected through an ethernet cable to my main router.
The Moodlebox has a working Wi-fi connection. The network is transmiting Moodlebox Wifi network correctly.

All the devices are conected through the MoodleBox wifi. The working devices and also my own – which is the device that cannot access the http://moodlebox.home

CURIOUSLY, all the computer have access to the internet through Moodlebox Wifi network.

Nicolas changed the title to Cannot connect from a specific Mac computer! .

If your Mac is connected through both a cable and wireless connection, disconnect the cable and try again.

Nicolas Hi Nicolas. Thanks for responding!

My mac is not connected through any cable. Only wireless.

rsff It looks like that your Mac does not get add the MoodleBox as its DNS resolver. To confirm open a terminal and run 'host moodlebox.home' and 'ping moodlebox.home'.
