MoodleBox vs Moodle on internet-in-a-box.

What is the difference between MoodleBox and Moodle on internet-in-a-box? I installed internet-in-a-box with the patient and generous assistance of Adam Holt today. I can't tell what's different about the two.

Please install the internet-in-a-box yourself. You will get a running webserver. After this you need to install Moodle. Yes, there is a menu entry for this but it does not work for me. Perhaps I need to read the instructions better or my internet connection is too bad to install Moodle on the fly. I got a damaged internet-in-a-box. I have no idea how to repair the main menu.

With the MoodleBox image you get a preinstalled Moodle on the Raspberry Pi and you can start immediately with Moodle. All steps for Moodle are ducumented. You will find all settings and all passwords. I am working with Moodle for teachers learning workshops and for schools projects. In a lot of settings I need a configurated Moodle platform and no other things. So the MoodleBox is better for me.

MoodleBox is focused on hosting Moodle. This means that you can be sure that the underlying system is always up-to-date and specifically tweaked for Moodle support. Moreover, the MoodleBox plugin is installed out of the box, so you don't need to install it manually.

IIAB is focused on hosting many tools, including, but not specifically, Moodle. There's not specific system tuning for Moodle. It is a great tool, and we share a few same features/issues, including the wifi clients limitation.

Thank you, Nicolas and Ralf. I agree with your assessments. I like the general color 'theme' of MoodleBox better, too, as well as the system management features that have been added. Shut down, clock, etc with very likely more to come.
I've had some very useful conversations lately with Adam Holt who is running iiab. He's great to work with. You might send him a not, Ralf, to see if he might be able to fix your instance of iiab.
I'm still trying to understand all of the various tools for Offline First.

As a side note: it is possible to install on a MoodleBox (albeit manually) some of the tools available on IIAB. See e.g.
