Updating to moodle 4.0

Hi, I am new to moodle. I am doing a favor to a friend that has a website/learning platform in moodle and needs to update to 4.0.
I don't have moodle installed on my PC. I have access to the Cpanel and to moodle dashboard What is the best way to update to the new version?
