Update Moodle, Moodlebox-Plugin worked fine, but not moodlebox-Version

Hello,
i would not install a new moodlebox- image, so i updated moodle how it is described in the documentation.

Now the Moodlebox-Dashboard shows the following information :
MoodleBox-Version 3.6.0 (2020-02-12)
MoodleBox-Plugin-Version 2.8.0 (2020110300)
Moodle-Version 3.10 (Build: 20201109)
How could i update the moodlebox-Version?
i started always "sudo apt-get".

You can't and should not.

A MoodleBox image is a complex assembly of interdependent components, assembled and tested carefully to work together. The versions of the components vary with each MoodleBox new image, and it's not trivial to update a image to the next version.

Anyway, after what you did, your MoodleBox should work as a brand new image.

Sharky MoodleBox has different layers. At the bottom, there is https://moodlebox.net/en/help/how-to-upgrade-the-moodlebox/, which upgrades the OS. Yes, your friend apt-get does that. ;-)

Then there is Moodle https://download.moodle.org/. Plus the MoodleBox plug-in: https://moodle.org/plugins/tool_moodlebox. No apt-get, I'm afraid, perhaps git.

You can't update the "moodlebox-version", it is the version given by Nicolas, when he put everything together.

i understood, that there are 3 Tiers.
Should i change to a normal Moodle-Installation for a raspberry pi?

Sharky I call those things software layers. Whatever, whether the MoodleBox is the right thing for you or you are better off by installing everything on your own, depends on you resp. what you want to achieve.

Thx. i am just a beginner about raspberry pi , linux and moodle. That is the reason why i use the moodlebox-image.

P.S.: I start in 1980 with a Texas Instrumen TI99/4A and after that with IBM Personal Computer. So i have my experience in the Microsoft (Windows ....) or IBM OS/2 - Plattform.
On Chrisma 2020 i start the adventure to raspberry pi and linux . ;-)

You didn't answer the second question though, "what you want to achieve"". Learning "about raspberry pi , linux and moodle" all three together and on your own, that doesn't sound encouraging.
